GC-Quest: Killing other hunters?

After about a year of not playing PSO, I've decided to pick it up and give it a whirl again. I don't really have the desire to go online just yet, so I've started playing through the offline quests in ultimate for now. I'm having a lot of fun with it at the moment, but I'm getting stuck on the Secret Delivery quest.

It's really quite annoying; whenever I get to one of the robot hunters that you can fight, everything I attack him with just goes through him. It doesn't register as a miss, mind you. It goes straight through. The android's attacks don't do too much damage to me, but it's incredibly irritating to get whittled down to 0 health from his dinky rifle while 90% of the stuff you throw at him doesn't even register, and even then you still get normal misses when an attack actually does register.

Is there any simple trick I don't know about that assists in killing hunters in the offline quests? Right now, I'm having the best success by running away, firing with a pistol once, and repeating. I can't even chain attacks together, and it's becoming pretty frustrating.

That happened to me too. Solution? Don't talk to them, just head straight to Caves 2. The only robot you should/must talk to is the hot pink one lying face down with her rifle. Tell her YN-0117, and you've cleared the mission.

Not talking to the other robots won't affect anything, except your mortality rate.

Make sure that you get a cross hares before you attack and if you land a successful attack for some reason the NPC has to get a shot in at you before you can damage it again. If you block fine, attack again... it is a bit annoying but not half as annoying in the fact that if you use resta, you heal THEM too... lol

You're still forced to fight hunters in later quests, and it's even more annoying when you're fighting more than one at a time.

I'm having slightly better luck by using a Silence Claw while fighting them, although it's still a big pain in the ass. I hope that hit-trading thing isn't true, because that's a terrible way to add artificial difficulty.

Eh, those bots never give me problems. As soon as they step off that podium, I nail em with my Psychoguns.

Now Anna on the other hand..(or was it her twin). She was a pain in the butt.

The reason why this occures is because after taking damage, the NPCs are invulnerable for a while
Ever realized when your character gets hit by an enemy you cant be attacked immediately?
Its basically the same with the NPCs, they become invulnerable for a while.
Just make sure you always hit an NPC with a heavy attack and if you are a Force, use your strongest Technique.

This happens to me all the time, too.

Anna, on the other hand, was quite easy to remove because my attacks always knocked her and her ranger friend down.

If you're a RA with a Frozen Shooter or Snow Queen, you can freeze them and continuously hit them until they die. I'm sure the same thing would work with Freeze Traps on droids, but I haven't tried it yet. With FOs, Grants does wonders to them

I think it was in "From the Depth" ths FOmarl is a pain. With a wand she sure has insane range. =P

... And while fighting Kireek I accidentally healed him. He is a tough cookie.
