FanArt: For old time's sake

I had to some rare free time over the weekend, so made this quick sketch and color. It's Xian, one of my characters dating all the way back to Dreamcast version 1 days.

I'm very envious of you... I can never get hair to look that nice when I use digital media... Speaking of that, what did you use on this? It reminds me of a lot of stuff I've seen on Deviant Art done in Open Canvas... But I'm guessing Photoshop? (probably wrong, though... It's hard to tell when it's painted using software...)

Hey, that picture is great! I never see too many with eyepatches. Or tattoos on their legs. By the way, nice signature.

great work, lot's of detail, shadows and everything, *cough*breast*cough* that don't apear pointy, cool looking eye, the small tuff of hair on the right looks kind of out of place (which is realistic in today's world), good color match on the clothes (even if it's based off the game, although i'm not sure if that camo thing on her leg is), she has sort of a muscular feminie look to her instead of just sticks.

To answer your question, ladyjaderiver, the sketch was colored in Painter Classic.

As for time, my usual schedule is taken up by work, and whatever time is left is taken up by whatever needs to be done that day, then sleep a few hours and start again. So, not that much free time these days, just enough to scratch out some sketches here and there.
