Who plays as a Arkz or a Hunter? Which is better?

I just got this game yesterday and I tried a Arkz but I found at that when I fought a Hunter the hunter was the computer as usal for me. But what I found out was that Hunters are as strong as 10 or 12 creatures with their cards. What is up with that?
