Yesterday I had a crash with PSO. My DC reseted, and I lost all my inventory. So I said : "no problem, I backed up my last save on the other VMU, like Ambrai explained. So I'll load this save offline, play it until I reach time and exp I had during my last connection, and try to log online again".

That's what I did. I played offline until I reached time and exp, then connected... and the server told me that the save was not correct, and that my inventory was going to be reset... So it seems this method doesn't work any longer

So did anyone succeeded in making this method work ? Is it still useful to bother backuping a character ?

    Thanks for your replies !

ive heard from other people who have had this same problem. sega updated the servers, no more backups, and for your dc reseting that is a laser lens problem so you should see if the lens or the disc is scratched or damaged, that is the only reason the dc resets.
