The ships came up and people were already starting to get their Gather points. As of right now it seems that only those with the JP copy of the game will be able to get Gather points. Supposedly changing your language settings won't help either.
So much for international tournament, eh? Oh well...

The tournaments don't start for another 2 hours. People are playing standard tournaments, which doesn't give Gather. And everyone is still Rank 1... S'ok, still time.
It does appear to be for Japanese copies of the game only. I'd feel pretty bummed if I had a US copy.

Man, I can't believe ST ****ed their players over yet again...
I'm saddened to report, G-1 (Gather Cup) is for JP players only. US players are not eligible to enter. This has just been confirmed. The G-1 map is the closest thing you'll get to the real tournament. Enter GP ships will not gain you GP (gather points). These ships take the effect of Non Battle ships, for US players.
Me and a friend were both psyched about trying to do our best in the Gather Cup. He even woke up extra early to prepare...
Only to find out that after one Tourney we did, that we can't even participate...
"Greatest in the World" ...right. I feel so cheated and let down. Especially after SONICTEAM appeared in the dang lobby...

Yeah. But everyone should have realised Sega doesn't like to play fair. Especially holding it just before the EU version is released. Talking about rubbing it in our faces =/

WTF. So I just played this morning for no reason? After every battle, it did say ___ Gather acquired or something like that. So my partner and I didn't really earn that Gather?
