Card: What's you preferred 1 point self-defence in team game

We all hate rolling one for DEF dice, it's good to have a couple of cheap defence cards in the deck for that situation.

The poll assumes you carry TWO 1-point defence cards, in a team deck - the first is Defender, and you are choosing a second you can use on yourself.

Those ability traps sure can be a life saver.

Just imgaine those minor-major deaths (slicer assasin, evil curst), HP-AP swap (windmill), high cost-low cost slayers (merlan,...), status conditions on a specific dice roll (guilty light,...),

Seal is the way to go

I use grow guards becuase I tend to carry cards with high hp so I like to boost AP on them while I have them.

Dodge, perfect in every way.

I agree, dodge is perfect.

seal only kills 1 damage if they atk u with say anceint saber, hilddelt or anything with weak spot you will accautlly add more damage.

grow gaurd only works if you have somthing equiped.

defender....well...this ones self explanatory...

and solid only blocks 3 or less damage, its stll very good tho. just what if you have 4 hp left and they happen to do 4 damage...hmmm?


My advice? carry exhange, you dont realize how much that assit will save your ass.

I would have to say dodge more than anything when it comes to a one point defense. That card has saved my butt more times than I can count. Especially from a piercing attack that you can't use seal on.

In order:

1. Seal for me in any decks with cards I don't want killed - e.g. any deck that uses 5 costers or greater. The chance to stop death attacks and all weapon / creature-based status effects is excellent.

2. Solid in decks for large maps where Arkz spam is more likely.

3. A second defender.

4. Grow Guard over Dodge, the extra 1HP saved just isn't worth it for me in team games.

It depends on what my teammate has. If my teammate also has defenders, then I'll put all of mine in my deck. but if they don't, I'll use a different deck geared more towards one on one and have a couple dodges instead. Defender is a fairly risky card, but it's a lifesaver if you have the right teamwork.
