Friends are friends

Why bother pushing it?

Everything can be replaced in the world, well, almost everything. People can't, and when you stop being friends with somebody. They could be gone forever. We all think through things differently, we all see things differently, so why bother fighting over the obvious stuff that we think about differently?

Why can't we all be kids. They fight, yeah, but an hour later they forget and go play. It's like they know that that fight could tear them apart. Or perhaps, to quote my aunt, "Here's to ignorance!".

When all this is said and done, I'm just repeating myself and/or stating the obvious. But this all leads to how big an idiot I was and how sorry I am.


I need to grow up.

That holds true for those that are your real friends, but I feel I should point out that some people are very jaded and don't see things as clearly as they should. I had to end a very rocky friendship a month or two ago, and it was the right decision. Both of us are happier (well, I think... I know I'm happier) this way.

But I know what you're getting at, and yes, friends are good. Forgive and forget when appropriate.

I'm at a loss when it comes to this. I can't seem to make mutual friends, but I can't deal with not having friends.
