The thing was, I'd have gotten it if I hadn't thought nothing would drop. (Which then makes me fill my Item Pack, so I have to drop something if anything of value does drop.)
Edit: Azel and I also hit the A button so close together, I thought I picked it up. Then I searched my inventory, and it wasn't there. So Azel must have gotten it.
