challenge mode on GC

How do you play that? i never played ver.2 on DC but i got the GC pso but i dont understand the challenge mode. What could you get it from that mode?

if your online then find some challenge rooms. or if you gto friends (you should have 3 friends to really enjoy challenge mode) then make a challenge mode game.. its pretty simple. if you beat all challenge mode maps under a certain time you can earn S-rank which is a weapon you choose and you can name it what ever you want.

and if you failed one mission? could you re-do the mission? do i need to play with the same persone that i play the mission 1?
