If you got the PS2 version, yes you would need a PS2 capable of playing JP games, but yea, why not wait the extra month? Or at least go for the PC version if you import(assuming your PC can run it)...

well i have the JP one in UK since i dont intend to go online with it i can use swap magic to play imports (since JP DNAS is weird im not even risking the cash for a HL on JP so im waitin for Xbox)
