this isn't a pessimistic discussion,
it's really to prepare everyone so that anything that goes wrong won't slap everyone unexpectedly.
with the server issues Japan is having, I wonder how much better Xbox360 servers will be better taken care of?
this beta test is definitely a stress test, since there has never been a PSU stress test for this system before. they already tested PC during May and tested PS2 around August.
so ya this beta will be very important for SOA and whoever is watching over Xbox360's servers to learn what will end up going right and wrong during the beta and possibly the final version.
and it's also apparent that whatever we may face might not be resolved anytime soon. but whatever it might not be so bad.
*for one thing is downloading the beta, which I think ppl will have little problems downloading completely, though some might have to wait longer if traffic gets really bad.
*the next thing is successfully logging in and starting to play. there is a small chance, ppl might get the legendary errors that prevent them from playing online. so don't be surprised if it happens. it may be fixed in a day or two and more people will be able to play before the beta is over.
*something else is some things during gameplay that might seem weird or out of place or even interferes with our playtime. like not being able to re-enter our Room or something like that. but ya these cases are most likely not gonna happen.
*then if the population or something forces them to block out players until maintenance fixes some things that get in the way of comfortable beta testing/playing, then that might test ppl's patience. maybe.
but ya, what do you think and what are you prepared for when this beta comes out and stuff?
if something goes wrong will you be like
"rawr! I'm so mad! *explodes*"
or will you be like "hmmm I expected this would happen."
