well,ive got an older ps2 with the modem adapter,my problem is,the ps2 wont play black or blue colored discs,only clear discs it plays,it turns out that the starter disc to go online is blue,does anyone know if sony has made a clear startup disc and if so how would i obtain it?
really not looking forward to buying another ps2.
... How does that happen, I got an old PS2 and the startup disc for the adapter worked fine on mine.

You might wanna consider pc then =x your ps2 seems to be at its end
man do u know that u could of call sony and arrange to get your ps2 fixed...when sony first launched the ps2 they also released some deflictive ps2''s....i had one....i sent it back and they repaired it for free.....might be a lil too late for u now tho considering the warrantly issues ......but yea alot of games now come with the network config with the same setup the startup disc had....socom 2 and 3 have it
I've got the same problem with my PS2, thank god PSU is a "White/Silver" DVD format~
