I got the game when it came out, but I haven't played online yet. I'll be online soon, but from the looks of some things on the board, it seems like I missed out on a lot of discovery of new "rares" over just 6 days. An 11 star item has been found too?
Is it too late for me to make a discovery of a unknown rare online, or is there plently we haven't seen?

Don't worry. Only a small amount of the online game is unlocked. Get online and level up a bit, and at the next content release you too can join the "I found it" club.
I gotta get me into that club. Sadly, some of us can't toss in 8 hours a day to PSU.
i can only put in 8 hrs a day like once a week.. usually saturday nights while the gfs at work lol!

I would not worry about missing out on item findings.. there will be plenty to find, especially once additional items are released. You should be able to enjoy the early stages of leveling your character just like everyone else, even if the items you find have already been found by someone else. Afterall, just because somebody has found a particular item, doesn't mean that everyone has it already.
