What's the deal with the Photon Arts?

I purchased some photon arts from a shop and I cant use them or something. Do anyone know the requirements to useing them. Like my guy Ethan's Rising Strike, I purchased a Tornado Break for my
sword, and a Rising Crush for my Twin Brand but it doesnt do anything. I made a beast on extra mode also he has no photon art usage or something. Help guys.

Go to items. Select your weapon. Click link to photon art.

Make sure you use the disc to learn the photon art after you buy it.

So you've purchased a Photon Art. It's an item, so go into your third menu and select it, then select the "Learn" option. The item will be consumed and you will have learned that Photon Art. Now, since PAs are specific to weapon types, you'll now have to link it to its respective weapon. So! You purchased Rising Strike for your little Saber, now you'll want to link it to that saber. Go into your first menu, select the Saber, then select "Link to Photon Art." You'll have another menu come up that shows Rising Stirke so select it and you're linked.

Simple as pie and and a piece of cake.
