Ok if each pm specializes in a certain area then wouldnt it make sense that the claw pm would be best if you want to be good at both ranged and sabers. The 410 specializes in swords but that is a specific type of weap in this game. So that would mean that it wouldnt specifically be good at sything swords as it is sabers claws or knuckles. Could someone please help me with this?

Synthing and what they use in combat are two different things. Yes 410 might USE a sword in combat, but she also uses twin sabers. That dosent prohibit her from making excellent claws tho.
Once ur PM reaches lvl 80, she can be used on the field. Those stats are completely different from the synthing stats.
For instance, im making a GH420 (claw). When she reaches lvl 80, yes she will use claws, but since her Striking area is so high, she will be able to make any striking weps very well. Get it?
Makes sense but i thought that you have to keep striking under 30 in order to get the 420?
Yes, striking does need to be under 30 at production level 80. So the best you can get is 49 in striking with a production level 100 claw PM.
how do you equip weapons on your PM?
Hmmm thats good so say if I was thinking about going figunner which I am wouldnt it best to have a pm that is good in strikin and range? Does anybody have a suggestion? 410 or Claw?
I just used the simulator and i see that the best thing would be to go 410 because it will be equally good at striking and guns 50 strk 50 rng is possible unlike the 420
