So, I've been told that the new weapon types dont see much use (axes, twin claws, laser cannons, etc). Can anyone explain why this is?

I ask because, as a female beast fortefighter, I was planning on using Twin Claws. They have an extra hit in their combo, making them (theoretically) hit similarily to twin daggers or twin sabers, only with a *lot* more ATP.

I've also heard a factor with it was the PAs. Apparently they cost like 50k? Can anyone clarify? =)

I dont think the new PAs would cost 50k lol. They are probably going to be around the 12k range... But I dont know

The new weapon type of course will be of use. Things from double sabers to claws...
Thing is... There's so much things comming out, that the answer varies. Some good, some "ok."

Claws will be vary useful for boss battles as well as axes since they are very strong.

I probably see people using Double Sabers and Double Claws the most out of the newly added weapons. But still, quite a few people are stuck using the basic "affordable" weapons because the new ones are all A Rank which means they cost a lot and you have to be at a sorta high level to use them.

Twin claws do have a extra hit in their combo for normal attacks, but not with their PA from what I've tested out. My *guess* is that the new PA's will be priced around the range of the offline prices of around 14k.

Does anyone from the JP version have this info? I was trying to read JP pages for it, but it's not simple information and my japanese sucks =p

Double claws suck...period. They rank one of the worst weapons in the game.

Their Arts are slow and don't do much damage, THEY don't do much damage, and they only have base 5-hit combos (unlike a Twin Saber and Doublesaber 6, and the Twin Dagger's staggering 7.) They may have better PA, but they PALE in comparison to the single Claw style. If you really want to use claws, use a single, not the double. You won't regret it.

Single Claws and Spears are probably the two best weapons you can get, hands down.

Twin claws don't do much damage? Correct me if I'm wrong (really, I'm just mining for information here), but I thought the base combo was 6 hits instead of 5 if you're female. Also, the numbers I see:

(Double Sabers) Double Saber (7*): 274 ATP, 92 ATA, PP Regen 4
    (Twin Claws) Ryo-Misaki (7*): 316 ATP, 202 ATA, PP Regen 4
    (Twin Daggers) Shin Tsuki-zashi (7*): 166 ATP, 236 ATA, PP Regen 6

Twin Claws seem far superior from these numbers. So, I think I'm missing something somewhere. Can anyone explain it to me? I've heard the PA isn't great, but how bad can it be?

I think the cross one is in the patch. I've tried it offline but since I'm not a hunter fan I can't really tell you how bad or good it is. but if you have any force questions please go on
