I live in the suburbs near the city. The suburbs are realtively safe, our drivers suck ass though, it doesn't take much to get a permit around here. I took the drivers test once without reading the book at all. I missed by 1 question. You can take it twice per visit, and it cost nothing to take the test itself.
Murders are nothing new in the overall St. Louis county (which is actually a very big area comprised of smaller counties.) In our specific area though, I can't think of any murder events, just lots of crashes. Lived near a 3-way intersection for a long time, seeing crashes were a common thing for me.
