Not only that, but you are clearly overestimating melee damage.

IMO there is no clear win for either class, but I doubt a FF will ever be able to solo the high-end misisons as fast as a FG.

You missed the clarifier “In uninterrupted and well aimed damage/time”. Obviously if the hunter is interrupted by Vahra gangbang bombardment, the ranger can pull ahead since he’s not getting smacked around. However, if you assume he’s using something that causes flinching (since EVERYTHING causes flinching, not just ranged weapons), then he’s probably still ahead since between the higher element potential, higher base ATP, higher weapon ATP, higher PA mods, higher number of hits per second and ability to multiply all of that by 1.5 it’s impossible to argue there’s any way for rangers to keep up beyond that.On 2007-11-08 11:24, Hrith wrote:

All rangers need is some beef in fromnt of them to soak hits while they shoot. The NPCs do a great job of this.
All hunters need is support (resta, defuffs, maybe some DoT here of there), and they shine. Sadly the NPCs really fall down in this are.
