I agree. And unless you have exposure to other cultures beyond "teh internetz" you can't even say that this is something limited to americans.

This entire topic makes me along with the "Normal people" thread.

Abashi- You seem pretty sheltered and I seriously hope you are able to get out into the world. You can't go on judging the world from what you've learned living in the same place, being around the same kinds of people.

Having said that, the phrase, "perception is reality" comes to mind...
I disagree about the real world being high school. I thought so when I first graduated- I went to college and nothing changed. But 10 years out- it's just not that way. There are PEOPLE who refuse to get out of the high school mentality, but that's their problem, not the way the world is.

I agree with you about Abashi, I've read a few of her threads, and they make me lol. I don't really know many people like she's described and I've lived in a LOT of different places since I've been an adult.
