This sucks, I don't have the processing core to run it. I only have a 2.8 Pentium core.

It might be time to consider upgrading to a computer made sometime this decade.

Well, it says in that same thread that those are the reqs for the Alpha, and that Beta reqs may differ. My suggestion would be to wait until you see the reqs for the Beta, before buying/upgrading anything.

Just thought I'd point that out...

I dunno man. Crysis 2 runs pretty decent. More decent than I thought on my PC and I only have a 2.33ghz xeon processor with a 9600GSO 512mb graphics card. I doubt PSO2 will push it like Crysis or Elderscroll games can.

I'm pretty sure that comment was towards Shade_Koopa...

and in addition to that, you say "Pentium Core" but there are a few different types of CPUs with that name. Pentium Core Duo, Pentium Core 2 Duo, and Pentium Core 2 Quad. Either way, I would say you should be able to run PSO2 with any of those. Pentium Core Duo might be pushing it a little, but low settings could be fine.

I assumed he meant single core, consider the Pentium line is long deceased. The new ones aren't Pentium Core 2 Duo, etc. They are Intel Core 2 Duo and so forth.

Anyway, with the given specs, it would be safe to assume that a Core 2 Duo will be fine. While these are only minimum specs, I doubt that the game will even support four cores, as many programs still only use up to two.

Actually the Pentium brand is still alive, now used for the low end processors.
Here's a list of the post Netburst (Pentium 4, Pentium D) era processors:
    - Pentium E2000 series, Core 2 65nm core, 1MB of L2 cache (Core 2 E4000 series have 2MB of L2 cache).
    - Pentium E5000 series, Core 2 45nm core, 2MB of L2 cache and have a 800MHz FSB (Core 2 E7000 series have 3MB of L2 cache and 1066MHz FSB).
    - Pentium E6000 series, Core 2 45nm core, 2MB of L2 cache and have a 1066MHz FSB.
    - Pentium G6900 series, Core i3 Nehalem core, 3MB of L3 cache (Core i3 500 series have 4MB of L3 cache), lower CPU and GPU clocks and lack hyperthreading.
    - Pentium G600 and G800 series, Core i3 Sandy Bridge core, lower CPU clocks and lack hyperthreading (these haven't been released yet though).
