    It will probably be percentage of base stats like most stuff in the game, if not all. There is anything that is a percentage of total atk? I can't remember right now.

    Oh by the way I tested stances on machine factories with megiverse, as suggested by Syklo.

    Yeah they actually work.

    edit: they weren't actually tested repeatedly or in a perfectly controlled environment, so I'll be testing more later. The gain between stance changes was close to what I'd expect, but...too far off for comfort. I'll be testing more later.

    Judging by this it should also work on darchymes, baizes and MAYBE FUNJIS?
    (I'm not sure about funjis since they seem to be hit-based rather than damage-based)

    Speaking of which I haven't seen any of those for a long time (probably since I haven't been into free fields for a LONG TIME)

    Interesting.

    Anyway, there's something I'm somewhat concerned with right now.
    Is it really worth it to max the Stances (not ups)?
    I would be in need of some S-atk boosts (as a FI/TE) if I'm ever going to reach 650 S-atk, so would it be better to spend that 5 or 10 sp in s-atk boosts rather than brave/wise stance (between lv6-10)?

    that extra S-atk for better weapons seems better than a 5% boost + penalty.
