    Before you open the crystal.

Ddos'ing is something else. Gameguard cannot prevent this.
Oh, so it's just "client protection" then? Well, even worse. But really if it's someone overloading their servers intentionally.. they really need to up security. You outta have better security than anime stream sites and whatever else in the muck.

Sega can't do anything about the internet carrying the DDOS to them. It's the internet's fault.
Known as Niem on Ship 2.

A better question would be: WHY is anyone still using GameGuard?
It couldn't stop people with HomeBrew on their Wii's using simple hex edit codes & it didn't stop GameShark or Action Replay codes from working on 6th gen consoles (ps2,gamecube, xbox). Hell, it couldn't even DETECT players using these cheating devices/programs. The ONLY way players got caught was if someone saw & reported them.

It's a shitty anti-cheat/hack root toolkit that simply doesn't work. No idea how nProtect/INCA is still in business.

Agreed. It's just a waste of CPU usage and memory.

Been getting a 520 "CloudFlare" error from Cirnopedia for the past day or so. I sent the link to some friends & they accessed it just fine.

Anyone had this before, and is there anything I can do other than wait it out?

From what I've gathered, it's the latest popular term that means 'bad player' in some way. From the classical "noob", onwards to "scrub", and I've seen "pleb" used this way, now we've got "pugs".

And "Shunkaspammer". Don't forget that one.
