I don't trust Kickstarter, personally.
I don't like the idea of rich companies using it either. They justify it by saying it's like advertising which would lead people to seeing smaller projects, but I don't buy that.

So I wouldn't support it, but I wouldn't care if others did.

You have played other Phantasy Star games right? $10 a month fee?

You're throwing money at it anyway at the least this way it's your pre-order cost at most it would be a digital copy of said game and with a free-to-play it might reflect in cash shop credits(AKA Arkz Cash or Premium) and it sure beats abusing DLC for offline game to make up the difference.

It's not that I'm saying that they will because it's Sega. Bad choices seem to be part of their legacy. I just think of Phantasy Star as a niche franchise. It could be great if only it could get some exposure.
