    It's not bad at all. I really only notice the 95/120 atk difference for big hits like Volg Combo/Banish Arrow and Ilbarta.

    How does slotting 95 ATK give you a higher HP and PP pool to work with though?

    Gives you a Fever affix to work with. Not much but at least it's something and has a very high success rate. Idea would be Stat III/Ultimate Soul/Vinculum/Fever. You can 95 ATK with 3s for Stat IV/Ultimate Soul/Modulator, but that's actually more expensive for less gain I think.

    Yeah, and instead of spending 965k on using five fodders with Saiki, now you can spend 1.5m!

    A 6th fodder slot changes very little. It's a very nice convenience but no more than that.
    It makes very little difference to getting high atk values because it does not change the rarity of the abilities needed for this.
    Getting high atk depends entirely on using the right abilities and as long as they are hard to come by and you spend exorbitant amounts of money on fodder with these abilities with an amount of slots that makes it even possible to get 160+ atk, nothing whatsoever will change.

    PS: pp and hp are good, too. Even def. Cause if you get hit and have to heal, you have 0 dps. If you have to heal less, you attack more and do more damage in the long run.
    Likewise with pp, the less time spent refilling pp, the more time spent doing damage.

    I have a really dumb question.

    Does crafting the Hiei set pieces make it lose out on the 40 HP/5 PP per piece bonus? Or does it just lose out on the resistances?

    I'm not talking about the 60 S/R/T Atk and 10 PP set bonus for equipping all three pieces.

    Specifically just the innate per-piece bonus. I was under the impression that it'd lose the 40 HP/5 PP bonus when crafted (which I care about) along with the resistance bonus (which I don't really care about).

    ^Yes, it will lose the default hidden stat. But Special Recipe Craft can fix that, with either 100HP or 10PP new hidden stat.
