GC: does msn work as an isp, if not....

I can't seem to connect with it, every time I try it tells me that it "failed to authenticate username and password". At first I thought maybe I was entering something in wrong, but after redoing everything about 20 times I know I'm not. I was told that msn worked fine, but now I'm not so sure. If it doesn't, can someone give me the name of a good isp that is compatible? Thanks mucho grande

Well, let's see:

what system? - dial up with msn or the broadband?

are you using a router, or just connecting through the modem?

and finally, we're in the process of compiling a listing of known ISPs to work with the different systems... MSN _should_ be one of them.

It's dial-up msn and I'm using a modem connection. I still can't get it to work for some reason.

well, this may be the obvious stupid question, but you have the right user name and password for the game's hunter's liscense right?

I'm not sure how dial-up works, as I have the BBA with my cube... but someone here will know...
EDIT: I think I may have found your answer. it was in the sticky FAQs:

05Q: I have dial-up MSN. How do I connect to PSO?

05A: In order to connect to MSN, fill out all of your connection information as per normal, but when you fill in your username, type "MSN / yourusername", eliminating the spaces and quotes.

Ya, I know it's the right one. I had a hunter's liscense about 5 months ago, but I cancelled it when my char corrupted. So, I do have some experience in getting online. For some reason I just can't get it to work!!!
