the damage is a little higher but rod can just stand there and continue blasting non stop and has the 15% pp reduct.. ppc might be able to sustain due to that even with max ragrants craft and that is just ragrants.
compound will get max damage from both elements which is insane.. only thing a talis would be better at is the range it gets (or arguably zondeel ragants/gifoie)
Mathmatically is it really that much of a stretch that a Talis could do slightly more with talis tech bonus active? The biggest benifit to Psycho Drive is the fact that you can use it with any element and it's a rod so lolcompoundtechs.
The multiplier on it is actually lower than the combined multiplier of talis tech bonus and a talis latent because of the way multipliers work in the game.
That said I get tired of people acting like there's some sort of talis vs rod thing when you should idealy be using both, and Psycho Drive makes that WAY easier.
EDIT: For reference the latent on Eternal Psycho Drive is effectively a 15% multiplier. An austere talis with talis tech active is effectively a 36% multiplier.
EDIT2: Threw them into the damage calculator. Assuming everything else is the same, Psycho Drive comes out VERY slightly behind an austere talis with Talis Tech active.
The (5%) difference in the screenshots is probably just from affixes.

cannot disagree about using both indeed but jeez epd is ridiculous
EPD's PP reduction is not 15%, but rather a flat -3.
So Ragrants will cost 27PP, not 25.5PP. (10% difference in this case)
Actually, no. It's effectively a 11.538% multiplier. The latent makes you get a 1.45 multiplier instead of a 1.3 multiplier; 1.45/1.3 is approximately 1.11538. You can't just subtract the values and use that as the amount of damage you gain from the potential.
And 1.12*1.2=1.344, not 1.36.
But since you're overcalculating both, the result is roughly what it should be comparatively (although a bit skewed to favor EPD).
