Does anyone know if it is possible to play PSO over a network, like playing games between PC and PC over a network box?

you could both go online and just make a game. I used to do that with a friend on the GC

EDIT: While being in the same room, lik my friend would sleep over and wed just PSO all night online together.

Actually I was thinking that if there was no online for PSO (ironic but hey) is it possible for the DC, GC or Boxthing?

PSO is only deinged to communicate with a remote server, thus LAN isn't possible.

Only way possible for a LAN would be to hook 2 cubes up to a Desktop/Laptop PC with a copy of server software installed.

as said your gonna need the host software, as otherwise its just not possible.

sega wont release it as then there would unofficial 3rd party pso servers popping up and also with no way to choose the server your connecting too (ip etc) then you would be stuck on pso` sega servers

maybe if a modified version of thw Warp Pipe Project was used it could be possible to play the multiplayer online this way.. but it would mean some sort of unnoficial append disk

put bluntly its not poss with ep1&2 but is with ep3

Why do you need LAN when if you have 2 GCs anyway, you only need pay a little extra money for a router and both go online at once? Me and my boyfriend do that.
