I didn't know Gifoie affected dark falz up there... now I can PWN him again! But does this delay/help avoid the swipe attack? I have found only one way to avoid it (the resta dodge, I did it on Hard, once)...?
I know another way you can avoid it. Just when he does that slash of death, before he does it stand at the edge of the ring. He won't hurt you. I heard it from a FAQ somewhere.

hm...how about...you can cast spells faster with out a weapon equiped...and the fist weapons dont count

heres a tip i heard not sure if its true. In ruins when the boxes drop on you if u drop a item u will be able to walk out
Dropping an item only works on DC (I think) I used to just drop 1 meseta, good little trick.
