ST posted today announcing that both Akiyama of Sonic Team and YK3 of Dengeki achieved their target of collecting 200 cards each from players. They faced off in the Sega VS Dengeki game with a deck built from the cards collected and Akiyama won. YK3, being the loser, will now have to be in a punishment style exhibition game. The time and date of this exhibition game will soon be announced on ST's site. Congrats Akiyama! Now we are all looking forward to the upcoming quest in which we will be able the Gi Gue (only with ST achieving 200 cards exchanged) and Right Heavy Punch (only with Dengeki achieving 200 ccards exchanged) cards!

As some of you might know by now, there was a little problem or issue today with PSO's game clock because of the leap year, changing from February 29 to March 1st. This affects both your online and offline game modes for Ep 1 & 2, Ep 1 & 2 Plus, Ep 1 & 2 v1.1. and Ep 3. You might have been affected if you were playing online during or before the date change or if you were playing offline during the date change. There was however a server maintenance/down time for all GC servers in the US to help avoid this issue and further complications. For those of you who do need to fix your time display read the following ST news posting or do these simple steps:

    1. Set your game clock/time and date to 28 February, 2006, 23:55
    2. Start the game in offline mode. Select character with problem. Wait in Pioneer 2 on Ep 1 & 2 or the morgue in Ep 3
    3. When it turns to March 1st, 2006, your game time display will turn to normal time
    4. Verify that the time display is now normal and save the game and end your session
    5. Go back and change the game clock/time and date back to the present actual time

Please keep in mind that you have to change your game clock back to the proper time and date or you will not be able to connect to the servers for online play. Also keep in mind to do this only once and only with the character that experiences the problem.

If you need instructions on how to change the clock, please refer to your manual.

    Good luck and be careful!"

Over the night, Dengeki Representative, YK3, collected 55 more cards and reached their goal total of exchanging 200 cards with players at roughly 11:40 JP time. Check their daily journal to see what was exchanged. This means that we'll get more quests on the way! Akiyama apologizes for not being able to promptly log in at the card exchange time. Akiyama of ST, however, did not reach his goal of 200. This should make for an interesting match between the two representatives. Discuss this news in our forums.

ST posted this exciting news about a joint Ep 1& 2 and Ep 3 online quest! These new quests will further explain the storyline between Ep1 & 2 and Ep 3.

The story for "Memory of the Green Star" takes place ten years after the mysterious explosive accident of the Central Dome. Nef, aclient wishes that you journey through a test play of the VR areas accompanied by his two young pupils, Break and Orland (Ep 3 characters). They are still young boys and are unpolished hunters, so can you make it through the VR safely? The VR is divided into three stages: "Rush," "Labyrinth" and "Darkness," each having different feature. On each stage, you are timed and a rank is given based upon your time. The client says that the objective is to measure your performance and skill as a Hunter. You will perform this task in "Memory of the Green Star." This quest is an online Ep 1 & 2 VR quest for 1 person (JP only). You have to play this quest first before you can download the next quest. You will be timed and given a rank based on your performance and time.

The storyline for the next quest: "Anticipation of the Future," goes like this: long after the "Memory of the Green Star," there was a certain request at the quiet Morgue. A secret VR Simulation is taking place, headed by Relmitos, to test the as yet unstable C.A.R.D. technology. The subjects being used in this simulation are the combat data for Break and Orland. The reasoning behind Relmitos' plans are unknown... "Anticipation of the Future", is a Ep 3 download quest for 1 person only.

There will be a server maintenance for all PSOGC servers on Tuesday, March 2nd between 2pm and 5pm to load the quests onto the servers. As usual, please do not connect to the servers at this time and please end all games before the scheduled maintenance. Since the quests feature a storyline connecting Ep 1&2 and Ep 3, these quests will only be available on the shared Ep 1 & 2 and Ep 3 lobbies. For JP players, you would need either Ver 1.1 or PSO Plus for this.

Also, it looks like ST noted that the White Day event and Principal's Gift quest are coming online to XBOX between march 9th and March 16th. There will also be White Day themed visual decorations in the lobby. So PSOGC should be on the look out for that as well!
