Neo Rei writes, "I was surfing around Sega of Europe's website when I came across news concerning the new quest:

"New online quest for Phantasy Star Online announced

PSO, the first online title for Gamecube, is now updated with the availability of the new quest, "Seat of the Heart":

You've received a personal request from Elly, the operator of Pioneer 2 lab. Hunters must first pass a VR exam set by the lab in order to join a classified special mission. During the VR battle, Hunters will meet "CAL" whom Elly previously saved in the underground realms of Ragol....Who is "CAL" ? What is the hidden truth about the Control Tower and the AI lab?

This quest will be available to play very soon, check online with the Hunter's Guild for updates.

    Happy hunting.

So far we've seen two versions of the name of this quest; "Bottom of the Heart" and "Seat of the Heart." "Bottom of the Heart" does make more sense as a name, while "Seat of the Heart" would be the direct translation of the quest name from JP to English.

Here are some new screenshots of the new quests from Sega Europe's Flash site:

What we know so far is that the map will have 2 extra stages, one of them being the night time Seaside level which we've already seen in the Nights Quest. The NPC's which will be in this quest are: Sue, Bernie, Kireek, Elly and Cal. The quest will also feature these enemies: Mericus, Merikle, Del Lily, Ill Gill, and Epsilon. All new monsters are available in all difficulty levels. Please remember that this is a very tough and challenging quest, so level up your characters in preparation. You have 4 more days til the new quest arrives! Join the ongoing discussion about this new quest in the forums here.

On a side note, you can see the Sega Europe PSO Mini Site here.

secret_of_space writes, "Sonic Team has updated their "Seat of the Heart" quest page with new pictures and info. It would seem that Sue, Elly, and Kireek are in this quest."

Still scheduled for PSO Gamecube on April 30th, this new online quest will indeed have you journeying through a new level: Control Tower, filled with new strong enemies such as Epsilon, Ill Gill and Del Lily. This new quest will be an important addition to the development of the PSO storyline. As secret_of_space mentioned, there will be many farmiliar npc's joining you in this quest such as Sue, Elly and Kireek. There will also be new npcs which you will get to meet (see 4th and 5th picture). Who is the myterious white Fomar? Find out for yourselves in the quest!

This quest is going to be an extremely difficult quest. You would have to be able to beat Gal Gryphon and Episode 2 CCA level alone in the offline mode to be able to survive this quest. Make sure that your character is able to do that before you attempt the quest. It is recommended for your character to be a high level, so prepare your character well!

The quest is roughly divided into two halves. You will be able to save after the first half at the counter (see last picture). Don't get impatient, take your time and enjoy yourself thoroughly. This quest will be available in both Japanese and English.

Looks like we're going to have lots of fun guys!! Join the discussion in the forums here.

Egg rappies are out and about dropping Easter Eggs in VR Temple! More pictures in our Screenshots section. Our Snapple finally found them!

The current Easter Egg items are: Remember that you can do a soft reset (Start + Y+ X + B) offline to "shuffle" between the Easter Egg items. It is also safe to travel through JP and US lobby servers with it. We now have pictures for all the new items and all item stats have been updated. You can join the discussion in our forums here. Be advised that this is just on the Gamecube, we just checked out Xbox and they have Cherry Blossoms up in the lobby.

psosaladwood writes, "Sonic Team posted today that due to limited server room, pictures on the Visual BBS dating from September 2002 until October 2002, will be deleted. Old pictures will be deleted routinely from now on to free up server room for new pictures.

Easter lobby decorations is also going up! The lobby decoration will be in place on Monday, April 21st until Wednesday, April 30th (JP). Get ready to start hunting those much anticipated egg rappies and getting those Easter eggs!

Sonic Team also posted saying that a completely new quest "Bottom of the Heart," is coming. The quest will be added on Wednesday, April 30th, right when the Easter event ends. This is an exciting quest as it's storyline will serve to solve mysteries and answer PSO rumors. This extensive quest will have you going through several Episode 2 areas. Elly, from the offline quest "Knowing One's Heart" will also be present and will journey with you through the quest while you protect her. This is going to be quite a challenging quest and will require you to be skillful and you will need to have previously cleared the CCA. You will also be possibly facing a new enemy (bottom picture says Del Lily!!). Looking at the last picture shown here, could this quest possibly introduce us to the control tower itself? While we can now speculate on the contents of this new exciting quest, Sonic Team has promised that we will get more information on this new quest in a week so we will be getting more definite information and details soon.

Please note that the above parts of this newspost is only applicable to GC PSO. Thanks to Atax for submitting information on the new quest.

On an unrelated note, US customers have reportedly begun receiving their Datel Powerboards since yesterday. You can join the discussion here.

lollipoplolita writes, "We contacted Sega Tech Support today at (716)650-6701 because of all the rumors surrounding the egg rappies. Now we know some of you will say: "They're just tech support people, what do they know?" But they do get official releases from Sega and that is basically one of the few ways to get an answer from a Sega person. When asked if the cancellation of egg rappies online from GC PSO is true, the Tech Support person said that they have received no official word or release on the cancellation, and in fact, according to his information from Sega, egg rappies are still scheduled to appear online in the game. They have been taking a bit longer than expected to put them on the game but it should be there by the end of the week as planned. When questioned about the supposed email from Sega mentioning the cancellation, the Tech Support said that they have not been told or issued to say such information at all and claims the email to be false. So we can be optimistic and see if this holds true!

    Update:

I just received this email from Sega:

"Thank you for e-mailing Sega Technical Support.

I appreciate you bringing this post to our attention. This was actually a false email produced by a non-Sega represenative. There has been no current announcements or plans to cancel the Easter quest. Please check the PSO main page under Ragol news for updates on availability of this quest. Thank you for your patience and support.

    Sincerely,

    -Matthew
    Sega of America Technical Support,"

    2nd Update:

"Thank you for e-mailing Sega Technical Support.

To our understanding, we should have this available by Easter. Please check www.sega.com for updates. Thank you for your support and have a nice day.

    Sincerely,

Sonic Team posted today that the Ice Spinner Quest and CMode stages 5-6 will be up again and be available for play on JP Xbox on April 17th. There will be a server maintenance to put the quest and CMode stages on the servers. If you guys remember, they were taken down for being buggy previously. So now it's finally fixed and going back up. Hopefully this means they will soon come to US Xbox PSO. We have a guide for the Ice Spinner quest here and guides and maps for CMode here.

Moving on to GC PSO, those of you who were experiencing a weird glitch with your guild cards when playing Gallon's Shop quest since the last server maintenance on April 15, you can now rest assured. Sonic Team said today that they have fixed the weird glitch which caused people to lose some of their guild cards or have the display say that they have 0 guild cards regardless of the true quantity.
