Well the Damage Calculator has been updated to include all levels of Shifta and Zalure to apply into calculations. I am now testing a Technique Damage calculator which I hope should be complete by this weekend (Should be a nice tool for forces to use).

We have added new guides to the Techniques guides section of the site. These guides have statistics for all techniques in the game. These stats include: Power, TP cost, Range (in meters), and MST Requirements for all technique levels.

More to come so keep checking in

There are several threads on Sonic Teams JP free and secret bbs's. Some are open posts like in the threads here and here. There are replies to official Sonic Team posts regarding server downtime complaining about the recent FSOD's from the double-save change here in the free bbs and here in the secret bbs.

Seems these problems are very wide spread among all PSO users, it shouldn't be long until we do see some official acceptance of the problem from Sonic Team if these posts continue.

Update: Added a second open thread on the subject.

psosaladwood writes, "I just called Sega of America tech support, twice. According to two different Sega of America tech support people, they are unaware of any FSOD problems, and aren't aware of any "double-saving process." They'll have to "look into it and call back."

If they do call back, I'll post what their response is.

If you would like to call Sega of America tech support, the number is (716)650-6701. It is also in the manual. Please be aware of long distance charges if you're not in their area. Maybe, if more people call and work together, it'll alert them on the urgency of the problem and get them to post an official comment. If you can't call and would like to voice your opinion, use the Sega Customer Service Online Form on the Sega website.

Check this thread for the ongoing discussion. One of our members, thewiredknight claims to have talked to a Sega tech support person that said that they are aware of the problem and are trying to fix the FSOD's without removing the double save method. However, we cannot vouch for the validity of this news since we did not make the call and we had conflicting results.

So let's hope that they do call back with some news.

lollipoplolita writes, "Sonic team finally released information clarifying why the servers were down.

Upon investigation into the matter, Sonic Team has concluded that it was indeed the internet worm that affected networks worldwide that caused the massive server down time. Investigating the problem while the servers were up would have been too difficult. Therefore, because of all the confusion, Sonic Team had to take down all the servers to investigate and fix the problem. The servers have since then been restored and have been performing normally since the restoration.

They also apologize profusely for the problem and are sorry for all the problems caused.

    Server Down Time/Trouble Occurence
    Ver.1.1 server
    From Friday, January 24th at 22: 30 until Saturday, January 25th at 01: 30
    Old server
    From Friday, January 24th at 22: 30 until Saturday, January 25th at 15: 30

Please note that there is no official word from ST on FSOD's and character corruptions caused by the double save process. Also, the above are JP times and dates.

lollipoplolita writes, "Just to let you know, apparantly, ever since the massive server down time, there are still people getting FSOD's and getting their characters corrupted and deleted. Two discussions can be found here and here. There still hasn't been any official news from ST regarding the server down.

A little PC PSO news as reported from the ST PC PSO Website, a new quest, "Dream of 3 Doctors," was added on January 24th. The online symbol chat event that has been taking place to commemorate the first anniversary of PC PSO was also extended, even though the goal of having 30000 symbol chat designs was already achieved. Seasonal lobby decorations also went up today.

And as reported on the Taiwanese PC PSO site, to celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year, ST also added Battle rule 5 and 6 to PSO PC. Also, as reported by the Korean PC PSO site, the Korean PSO PC servers are back up right now after an unexpected server down time.

This might also be of interest, a new 60 cm Rag Rappy plush and 3 PSO T-shirt designs went on sale on the JP Sega Online store. You can see pictures of the Rag Rappy plush here and the T-shirts here.

The Damage Calculator has been updated. It is now linked with our new Beastiary database to ensure its up to date stats and accuracy. It now has from Normal-Ultimate monsters available. The damage calculations should be much closer now if not as close as possible. Will be working on adding more Shifta/Zalure levels to it.

    Enjoy!

lollipoplolita writes, "We finally achieved the goal!! Famitsu Cup Counter now shows 100049658!!

The prize, a Pioneer S - HS01 sound system was awarded to 3 people.

In celebration, rappies will be waiting on the ending day (February 10th), in the Singing By The Beach Quest. The contents of the quest will change then.

One thing to note, if we hit 200 million in the Famitsu Cup, a new item will be offered in Gallon's shop. So this is even more incentive to keep playing and getting those kills!

Also, don't forget, the next Famitsu mini-event takes place Jan 31st to Feb 3rd.

One small server news, more and more people are able to connect and start games! No word on the stability of the servers or why they went down. And yes, the double save process is still in place.

Well the servers seem to be somewhat back up. One of our admins could connect and was actually able to make a game. Other people have confirmed the same. I myself, as well as another staff member and many countless others out there, still can not connect. So, we'll see if it gets any better, obviously the problem has not been completely solved. Join the discussion in the forums about the server status.

Famitsu Cup Counter is now at 99920638, so some people are still making kill counts despite the wide-spread server downtime. We may end up seeing Famitsu Cup reaching 100 million sometime tonight while we struggle to make it online.

Last but not least, we have redone the entire beastiary on the site to include stats for every difficulty, and both offline & online. As well as all detailed stats such as ATP, ATA, EVP, LUCK, HP and all resistances. Feel free to check the new beastiary for each area with this new detailed information in the guides section.

We are working on linking the damage calculator to this new updated information to encompass all enemies. Hopefully, it should be done by later tonight.

According to reports posted around, it seems that there is a bug in JP XBox PSO Challenge Mode. Characters are actually able to bring items from challenge mode over to regular game play inventory. The item however disappears when depositing or withdrawing items from the check counter.
