Sonic Team has posted news on PSO's "Website" option, concerning what they refer to as "Online Abuse". The news is quoted as follows--
Online Abuse -- Action is Being Taken!
Sonic Team will be taking appropriate legal and other action against users who are in violation of the PSO Terms of Service. Specifically, there have been cases of users spamming the lobbies and causing games to crash. These actions are unacceptable. Sega regrets the inconvenience and trouble this small minority has caused the PSO Community. You can take comfort that we are listening to your calls and monitoring the logs to ensure the best possible experience for everyone!
Reporting Abuse
When reporting user abuse, please report all the information you can, including:

[From XX:XX to XX:XX and date]
Username: EXACTLY how it appears onscreen: pay close attention to caps and text symbols.
Please include your username as well.

From 9th June 2004 the PSO Episode I&II players will no longer be able to play online using the 50Hz TV display option. SEGA recommends that any player using the 50Hz option immediately change their PSO settings to the 60Hz TV display.
This change does not affect players who are already using the 60Hz TV display, who do not need to take any action.
To switch to a 60Hz display, place the PSO disc in your Gamecube and press the 'Reset button'. Hold down the 'B button' whilst the Gamecube restarts. A message asking 'Would you like to display in 60Hz mode' is displayed. Select 'Yes'.
Further instructions can be found in your PSO Episode I&II manual. Alternatively, please contact SEGA Product Support, who will be happy to help.
In addition to that, the English version of online quest: Memory of the Green Star/Blue Star Memories shall be officially added and activated. Upon successful completion, this quest will allow you to access the 2 Ep 3 download quests, Bullet of Future Assassin and Anticipation of the Future. Ep 3 jukeboxes will also have some new songs added.
There will be a server maintenance on Tuesday, April 6 between 2 pm and 5 pm (JP time). Please do not connect to the servers at this time and please end all games before the scheduled maintenance.
"Memory Of The Green Star is now up only on JP servers and translated in English and is known as Blue Star Memories. This is the Ep 1 & 2 quest that crosses over to Ep 3 and lets you have key items to download the two Ep 3 quests, Bullet of Future Assassin and Anticipation of the Future. Some of you might remember that you can get two E cards, Cipher and Richie, one from each of the Ep 3 quest. Discuss this in our forums. Read up on the Memory Of The Green Star/Blue Star Memories guide to find out how to get both key items.
