    lollipoplolita writes, "ST has announced that PSO Ep 3 will be released in Japan on November 27, 2003 for a selling price of 6,980 yen.

    PSO Ep 3 features two storylines, one that will advance with the Heroside viewpoint and one that will advance with the Darkside viewpoint.


    Episode 3 will slowly focus on the storyline character per character and will have some events in it such as illustrated in the following picture:

    ST announced today that the EP 3 trial servers will be down Tuesday, August 26th from 3pm til 5 pm JP time to prepare for Sega Cup. Please do not connect during this time and please end all games before the scheduled maintenance.

    lollipoplolita writes, "Sega just announced the details of the Sega Cup challenge for Ep 3 Trial. In Sega Cup, players will participate in tournaments to collect Sega Points. The player with the highest Sega Points will be Number 1 of Trial! Be number 1 of Japan (or Trial)!

    You can gain Sega Points by winning specific Sega Cup tournaments as shown in the picture below. The amount of Sega Points you get is determined by the rank you achieve in the tournament.


    You will be able to check your Sega Cup ranking in the lobby; there will be a Sega Cup banner and rank above your name as shown int he picture below.


    The final tournament period will then take place 24 hours after the basic tournament period. In the final tournament the 16 highest ranking players will participate in tournaments for a limited time. From those people, the number of 1 player of the Trial will be determined. The winner will be selected if the player gathers the highest rank out of Sega Cup tournaments played in the limited Final Tournament Period.

    Sega Cup Prize
    The winner of this tournament will receieve the "Ashisuto Banisshu"/"Assist Banish" card. This special card has been designated as the prize of the tournament, and will only be limited to the tournament winner. No one else will have this card. Details of the card is currently unknown.

    Final Tournament Details

    • A special designated block will be chosen for the final period of the Sega Cup tournament.
    • The Sega Cup webpage will be updated with the 16 highest ranks at Wednesday 8/27 12 pm JP time.

    Participation Requirements

    • Agree and acknowledge Episode 3 Trial version Network Use Agreement
    • Fully acknowledge Tournament rules and details
    • You will not be allowed to slander the prize winner, any participant, the management/organization and it's subsidiaries anywhere including online activities or in the BBS
    • Hack or cheat the Tournament
    • Have an obscene name or prohibited character name.

    ST has posted announcing that the Episode 3 Trial period has now been extended until September 16. Trial servers will be online and active til then. That means we get more time to enjoy Episode 3! Good news for Trial players!

    Sega is also going to be holding a "Sega Cup" for the very first time on Episode 3 Trial. More details will be announced tomorrow on this unknown event.

    ST posted some Ep 3 Trial news today. The Ep 3 Trial registration period has been extended from Thursday, July 31st til Monday, August 11th. This means you have til Monday if you are planning to order the Trial from SegaDirect.com. If you are ordering from SegaDirect.com, they will only ship to a JP address. The online Trial will last until Sunday, August 31st.

    For those of you that don't know about the Trial, it is JP only, only has Japanese language setting and does not need a Hunter's License to go online. Be sure to check out our growing Ep 3 Page, Screenshots, Media and Guides collections; new content added daily. For more, check our Ep 3 FAQ. Join in our Ep 3 discussion in the forums.

    PSOW and PhantasyStarOnline.it have chosen Giulietta block 10 as the block to play on and meet (or 9 if 10 goes down). We welcome anyone with the trial to come online and play with the staff of PSOW and PhantasyStarOnline.it. Also, we have added a BBA setup guide for Ep 3 trial for those of it who need it. The same guide will work for setting up Ep 1 & 2 BBA in JP. Hope to see you guys there!!
