RavenTW writes, "It's hard to say whether these came from Sonic Team directly, or if EB stole them from Gamespot. Either way, Gamespot.com has brought out 25 new pictures of Episode 2! Click here to view

Also, these pics are in English. With that, the names of three of the monsters in Ep. 2 have been named! Marillia, the plant-like things which seem to be booma clones, Gee, the enourmas Mothmant wannabe, and Ul Gibbon, a strange Savage wolf/Sinow hybrid. Also, we now get to face off against a Gal Gryphon instead of a Gar Griffon.

I hoped this keeps your PSO interest burning!"

Dust off the old Dreamcast. If you're one of the many like myself who still enjoy their Dreamcast or are aspiring DC hackers, then you may want to pay attention to a quiet announcement by CSI, the Japanese manufacturer of the Dreamcast Broadband Adapter (flaky, but understandable translation provided by the fish). If you have no idea what the BBA is, read the official page here. If CSI gets 1000 pre-orders for the unit, they will be willing to make another production run. Keep in mind that these units are very useful for the Dreamcast Linux efforts and NetBSD/Dreamcast,. For the record, Japanese units work on US systems."

For the remaining players of the DC PSO that are desperate for a BBA, maybe you can signup though this.

Kaervek writes, "For those of you who read the General Topic post about a week ago or so about the GCN GameShark that turned out to be a GBA GS; here's the real deal Holyfield (yes, I was upset too). Check it out at GameStop.com. For a measely 50 bucks, PSO gamers with a wee bit too much time on their hands will soon after the release of GCN PSO, be able to annoy you once again. Sorry to bring you this info, but it's "news" afterall."

Note: PSOW does not promote cheating in any way. We feel it's appropriate to inform you of any PSO news, even if it's negative.

On the third of October, Dreamcast direct will start selling these high speed babies at a retail price of 3.800 Yen (31,70 USD). Don't get your hopes up though, the importers amongst us will probably pay a lot more.

Sonic Team also stated that the first 30 days of online play with the Gamecube version of PSO will be free. So if you own the game and log online for the first time between the release and the 31st of March 2003, you will get 30 days of online play for free!! "

Darrin writes, "A bit of a summary of some of the known new features of GC PSO has been compliled by Mamak, you can view the complete list by clicking "Read More"."

Lobbies are approximately 1.5 times bigger than their DC counterparts

In the Dreamcast version of PSO, only the city is decorated when an event occurs, in the GC version, even the lobbies are decorated as well.

GC version will have more events and quest.

You can alternate lobby action for male or female characters by using the shift-key on the GC keyboard.

There are chairs in the lobby now, players can now use the sit action

Players with the keybord can use the 'I' or 'U' key to activate the action command, whereas players without a keyboard need to use the key X+B on their controllers

Players will not be allowed to feed their MAGs while in the lobby (just like the DC version).

Added features Users can write a small memo on the guild card they received (probably to remind them who that particular user is)

Players can use the check room in multiplayer mode, thus allowing the possibility of "muling".

More MAG colors and selectable MAG colors in costume select mode.

Each class will now have different material usage limits.

Each character class will now more unique merits and disadvantages to better differentiate their classes.
