    The best screenshots are taken with custom firmware plugins. The advantage is that you can take rather nice screenshots. The disadvantage is that you won't be able to access the Playstation Network or any games that use the Playstation Network to "validate" accounts. Neither will you be able to play new games right away.

    Without having to switch to custom firmware, the only other way is to use an external capture device. The quality of screenshots taken with these will depend on what type of outs you use with your PSP. Component cables / D-terminal cables will decent but everything else will need a bit of touching up.
