lol its like this: You got 1 mission to start, clear it and unlock the next. Repeat this until all are done, then you get a quest (called CO in PSO2) and have to do 2 missions timed to unlock teh free field. Free fields are 3 maps with a boss at the end, those fields are mostly MPA(Multy Party Area) where up to 12 people can play together. Party limit is always 4, but you could meet there 3 parties of 4, 4 parties of 3 etc etc. once the free field is doen, you unlock the quest for next area. This repeats for all areas o:

yeah ship 2 is important, about the english patch, i did never need it depends on your skills in katakana

xD you can stop the download anytime it should continue from where it stopped (event ho it looks like it restarted but dont worry)
