Well see, Gene reminds her of sex and Kelly can't really get the feeling of having you-know-what. And especially after Vanessa teasing her when she met Ryke again (she know it was through between their relationship) she gave up on finding a sole-mate and couldn't find Vanessa being fun to talk about anymore because Vanessa stopped teasing her. FYI: She likes the teasing.
