I love mixing armor but I never bothered to make a set that nullifies all status effects. Why, do you have one?
If I don't want a specific effect I just gem for it before the battle... when I fight Chameleos maybe I'll gem for anti-thievery, or if I fight Green Congalala maybe I'll gem in that anti-poop skill. lol dung status >_<

I'm more interested in attack-power-enhancing skills. My favourite set in Unite is either the Rajang/Lao combo below, or the Teostra/Ceanataur/Akantor combo of Reckless Abandon +3, Sharp Sword, Sharpness+1.... or a High Grade Earplugs, Sharpness +1, Reckless Abandon +2 set.

Which one I wear usually depends on which weapon I'm using, whether the thing I'm fighting likes to scream a lot, or if I'm just playing the role of part-breaker (Rajang's horns for example).

My friends were finding Jin Rubies all over the place, it seemed they were only super rare on my game XD I blame the "desire censor" that always seems to know what you want...

Trouble with Rajang but wanted his armor? Did you know you don't need the Rajang arms or legs for Rajang armor to get all of the good skills activated, none of the negative skills PLUS one extra Skill?

The extra skill depends on which arms/legs look best to you, and whether you'd rather have Item Usage Improve or Recovery Speed+1.

~Fish arms and legs:
No weapon slot (I like the Gaoren Token)
Golden Hair Tie Shin - Unsheathing jewel
Golden Haori Shin - Unsheathing Jewel
Makluva Sleeves Z - Master Jewel
Golden Obi Shin - X2 artisan jewel
Makluva Pants Z - Unsheathing Jewel, Sword draw jewel

Skills : Focus, Unsheathe Critical, Sharpness +1 , Item Usage Improve

OR

~Lao-Shan Lung arms and legs:
No weapon slot
Golden Hair Tie Shin (unsheathing jewel)
Golden Haori Shin (unsheathing jewel)
Auroros Gauntlets Goku (2x artisan jewel)
Golden Obi Shin (2x artisan jewel)
Auroros Pants Goku (2x artisan jewel)

Skills: Focus, Unsheathe Critical, Sharpness +1, Damage Recovery Speed +1

Personally I went with the Lao-Shan Lung arms and legs, since to me they look similar in style to the Rajang armor. Doesn't look bad at all.

In MHF2 there was this awesome armor combo that I loved, it was Ceanataur SUUSS... basically: helm S, Torso U, Gauntlets U, Waist S, Legs S ...

and it gave something like Sharpness +1, Sharp Sword and Reckless Abandon +2 if i remember correctly.

In Unite it no longer worked though. I ended up re-using the Ceanataur Torso and Arms U pieces to do this:
Kaiser Crown X, Ceanataur U torso, Ceanataur U braces, Ceanataur Z Tasset, Dark Akantor feet

For these skills: Reckless Abandon +3, Sharp Sword, Sharpness+1

Which is an improvement anyway ^_^

That was my favourite armor combo to wear if I was Dual Swording the Devil Rajang's horns to get them off fast with the Daora duals. A few traps, some devilish dance spam and those horns were mine. :3

Lucky, getting a Jinouga Ruby. Those are really rare in my game. I've destroyed so many high rank Jinougas and only got 3 Jin Rubies so far.

Have you never fought Daimyo Hermitaur? How about Ceanataur? I used to fight them a lot in MHF2 and Unite. The Purple Hermitaur made decent armor.

I haven't played MH Frontier but I know people online who do. It sounds like fun.

haha.. making funny faces, helping her to "walk" around (she can't on her own yet, too young), pushing her around on this baby car thing she has... you name it. We were basically taking turns keeping her busy while her mom gets a bit of a break.

Gathering was good, and we ended up playing with the baby for hours lol... it tires you out. But she's so cute.

Infinity? No plans yet. Most of the time if I buy a game it's a Portable game, because most of my gaming hours come from my daily Train commute to and from work. I find that I'm not at home enough to play games that I can't take with me... I'll never get anywhere, it would take forever.

Portable games though -- I'm going to buy both new MH games for the 3DS if they get a Western release (region lock on 3DS so I can't just import from Japan this time). I might eventually get the other portable Phantasy Star games, but not for a while since I like the DS version so much. If I played one of the others right now I'd miss the picto chat and mags too much.

The only game that isn't portable that I've played since MH Tri is City of Heroes (free mmo for the computer). I don't even find time to play that one now that I want to find time to play online on PSZ when I'm home.
