Kind of a shame to I was starting to enjoy are little debate.

My only point here was just because can do something doesn't mean you should. The case being PSP2 and all the illegit 200's. It takes away from the game a little for them and the party around them.
It's not to say that modifying a game can't by helpful (like in World of Warcaft) but for PSP2 (which I play) it doesn't seem all that good.
Then again who knows were the next "BarKeep" mod will come from.

Legitimate playets are far and few. From what I know the first players to. Reach 200 converted their save for the english version.

All I'm saying is Sega of America hasn't paid Phantasy Star enough attention and now-a-days the word hacker in and of it self is a turn off. The community might be larger if people didn't have to worry about being hacked.

There's such a thing as going to far, even if to prevent some in game hacking.

But for as good as it is it could be better. Sega's never really marketed it for the western hemisphere.
I doubt we'll see any adds for PSO2.

There's a difference between knowing their PSN ID and their computers. How you manage to get direct access to email and other such info is beyond me. No doubt through illegal means, doesn't really enforce anything but that you'll make yourself an enemy in the public.

I was talking about Eternal Planets and how phantasy star as a whole is only a acult hit in the western hemisphere.

That may be the case, but booting them won't do any good as about 70% of the online population is using hacks negatively.

Creating my own party is one thing, but finding the people that can play without using any sort of hacks and the like is near impossible. Either it's a weapon that has been hacked past its limit or a PA that kills everything in the room, it's truly difficult to enjoy a decent game anymore.

I think it could have been better if it had taken from parts of rpg's past.

It could do great things. But it never did catch on here in the west.

Placing yourself in that position of power is never a good thing. Sure, you can single handedly control the online populace, but will that really teach them anything? They'll continue on with what they do.

In recent days, the number of the foolish individuals have died down somewhat, but that doesn't account for those that know nothing but cheat, cheat and more cheating. You may not know it, but the online community is definately a harsh environment with only a few places left to run to when no one wants to be bothered with people that ruin the fun of others.

Ahem as I've said, clans are nothing more than a group of letters. In a game that doesn't implement such a system, you seem to give yourself so much priority over everyone that plays with you.

And shutting down their game and their account? That's pretty damn harsh, especially coming from a guy that claims to respect the rules. It seems more like you're instilling fear in people that wish to continue playing. Scare tactics are a measure of keeping people on track, but not a surefire way of not having them turn against you.

If you want my opinion, people can hold their own when in a game that doesn't have an honor system, placing power on oneself doesn't make that any better. A possible account suspension and deactivation of their game also results in a type of cyber terrorism, although not as extreme as the way I'm putting it.

You have weird ways of doing things, and even so, you may as well as shut down the others that only sit there and taking up everyone's time, but if you really honor the rules, then why do you allow it?

Sega of America doesn't do anything that doesn't involve a sonic the hedgehog. Just because they have not said of done anything about it doesn't make it alright.

And they should. They should have put Downloadable content on the market and should bring Infinity to the states but they have not.

You might as well be saying Sega's drop the ball on Phantasy Star. If you still don't see it look at Eternal Planets.

Clans, you're funny. Without any real kind of ruling, clans are nothing more than a gathering of individuals that believe themselves to have power over others. I don't believe a word of it unless I'm shown proof that they're more than just a mindless rabble gathering to show off in every chance they get.

Yes, it did start on there, but there was talk about the western servers having heavy protocols set up in place to prevent this. You showed others that it just wasn't the case and went ahead and showed the rest of the world how easy it was to do it.

Not as much without somone showing them that it is possible. It was that push that caused a lot people to just stop playing the game normally.

Your "help" ruined most of the online community. It's very hard to find any rooms that isn't about dating/cybering or people trying to role play their way to the top. If only SEGA instated its Little Wing License, all of those things wouldn't have been a problem.
