Hey, thanks :P Been pretty good, was away on business all week so it's nice to be back home. Not a whole lot going on this weekend, if the rain holds off I'll probably go out with a friend or two. How about you?

Oh neat, you're the second Newfoundlander I've ever met online and befriended! I guess since I've only ever met two of you you've still got that "New" kinda feel to you. (I also love terrible wordplay and puns ;D)

I don't get to travel much myself, and when I do it's typically on business and I'm usually heading up some kind of big project or event with little time left to sight see. I'm the head audio engineer/boss at where I work, so the brunt of big things like that tends to land in my lap.

Awesome. Sounds like you have quite a bit of fun. That's pretty awesome. Hope you have a great and relaxing trip. ;D

And yes, I'm in the US, but I tend to keep my location a bit more private these days. S'nothing personal, mind you, I'm just a fairly private individual.

I'm the kinda gal that's gotta have me a glass of red wine with dinner every evening. :9 Helps to relax and well...always tastes great!

Sounds like you got quite a lot on your plate. Hope you can manage it all. Are you tripping to Vancouver on vacation or business?

Hey hey! Was a fairly straightforward week, which I'll gladly take over being sick and all last week. Glad enough that it's Friday though. Kinda tired and worn down a bit from work, so it'll be nice to get home and just do some chillin' this evening. No real plans for the weekend, I don't think. May go out with a couple friends at some point to try and find something to get into.

Whatchu gettin' into?

Yeah, I've certainly been making good on sleeping + fluids the last couple days. Still feeling a bit in the "UGH" zone, but much better overall.

And hell yeah, Super Metroid is my favorite game of all time. I'm not sure anything else comes close. I play it at LEAST once a year, but probably manage 2-3 playthroughs usually. The series as a whole is mostly wonderful. It's a great world to get lost in, especially the Prime games. Not really the biggest Other M fan though. It does a lot of good things with the gameplay (combat-wise), but the lack of exploration, atmosphere, and abysmal story ruined it for me.

Rayman Origins is great. Endlessly charming and if you're looking for a really good challenge it's got that in spades. I'd feel pretty comfortable recommending it even though I haven't finished it yet and only being about 3/4 through.

I haven't really been into anime for the last couple years. I kinda burned out and haven't really found anything to get back into for a while. My favorites are basically everything Satoshi Kon ever touched, Ghost in the Shell movies+SAC, and a huge mix of stuff old and new. (I have a pretty large DVD/Blu-Ray collection xD) I don't really go to the movies often either. About the only thing I'm looking forward to movie or TV series-wise right now is the final season of Breaking Bad starting on the 11th.

Have yourself a nice weekend as well. I'm probably gonna be spending it hopefully getting over the rest of my illness and trying to get out a bit and do some shopping.

Hey hey. Thanks for the concern. I think the big I got is something someone carried into my workplace and I just ended up getting it. I ended up dehydrated because I honestly didn't have the energy to pull myself out of bed until 4am or so, but I'm starting to feel a lot better today.

I used to be a Super Metroid speed runner myself (usually 100%, ~1hr runs.) I was a member of the community for about three years, but dropped out when things started feeling a bit toxic, but it seems a lot of the problems in the community have been more or less ironed out. I still run Super Metroid, but not nearly at the level I used to and my routes are horribly out of date compared to the stuff others are doing. It's still entertaining to watch though and I always try to donate ~$150-200 during their events to show support for runners, organizers, and the causes.

I've not been playing much as of late. Between being really sick and a lot of work, I've just not much felt like it. Been chipping away at Rayman Origins on Steam here and there and a little bit of Donkey Kong Country Returns on my Wii (I blame SpikeVegeta for inspiring me to play again), but mostly keeping it fairly casual.

I watched a little bit of it, but otherwise no. I like the concept though, thought it was for a good cause.

Been mostly writing and such lately, and trying not to let my Photoshop skills get too rusty. Been out of gaming and anime for a while but maybe sometime I'll be back into them.

Yeah, I watched a huuuuge majority of Summer Games Done Quick. So many fantastic moments. AGDQ hype is tremendous now, really. They are seriously about to blow up bigger than they are, and the players just keep getting better and better. I'm hoping for more races personally.

Cheesecake holds my heart as far as dessert goes :9 I had key lime cheesecake with whipped cream tonight, and it was divinity.
