you know i just realized i could have accomplished the exact same thing with 5s soul/power iii/tech iii/spirita iii/boost units now

It'd be a 40%/60%/100%/100% rate... Which actually isn't TOO terrible. The only problem is that there's only like, 20 modulator 4s units total, so I have to not luck out.

The other alternative is:
Modulator/Technique III/Spirita III/Technique Boost - which actually looks pretty attractive to me, because I'm more T-ATK skewed as a TE/FI than S-ATK skewed.

Expansion is 93%/100%/100%/100%, transfer is guaranteed. That looks way better tbh.

But how much better is it than my current set?

Okay I can try this:

Expand 3s to 4s Modulator + Ability III + Junk + Junk with 30% Affix:
93%/72%/100%/100%

Add Technique III and Spirita Boost with 30% Affix with two Ability III junk transfers:
100%/90%/100%/100%

Fuck it's still not 100% and it's almost guaranteed to fail on me no matter how nice those figures are looking.

I hate this game.

Plus it feels like a waste not to expand these units since the modulator expansion from 3s to 4s is almost guaranteed.

Hybrid souls suffer from a reduction in the HP/PP bonus, though - and not to mention, neither Ringa nor Malluda get in the high slot numbers for fodder nor do they spawn in AQs so far, so I'd have to brute force some fodders.

The benefit of modulator is that while it's more difficult to work with, it's kind of like having four slots for the cost of three - the alternative set-up is usually Cougar/Vinculum/Mutation/Spirita, and that's more or less the same as Modulator/Ability III/Spirita Boost, add a little pp, minus some defense.

They really don't make this game easy for hybrids.

Keep in mind this is for a partial Elysion build, so I want to keep my PP going at ostentatious levels.

Although 154 is already enough to keep me casting unlimited Sazans in a Lv. 8 PB Rate Up PSE burst, so I'm not sure if I really need more past ~150.

I would do Modulator/Technique III/Ability III/Spirita Boost, but that doesn't seem to be feasible with the fodders on the market (and I'm not making Modulator fodders from scratch) unless I wanted to force Ability III on with its 40% transfer rate - but if I did that, I only have two shots at it because there's only two Modulator/Ability III/Stigma/Technique III fodders on the market.

EDIT: Also there are no Modulator/Power III 4s units on the market.

Well, the expansion of modulator alone is pretty easy, it's like 95% from 3s to 4s with a 30% booster. The only thing is figuring out what to put in those goddamned last 3 slots, I suppose.

Transfer rate of Ability III is also only 40% even with the boost. I am NOT making Shoot/Power/Tech units from scratch hgununuhuhu.

What's the transfer rate of Vinculum again? I don't want to fail twenty billion 40% transfers in a row.

I still have no dumb clue what I want to do with my Modulator/Ability III/Spirita Boost units. On one hand, I feel like a poor person for having only 3 slots. On the other hand, you can't really do much with modulator that wouldn't be ridiculous because the affixes only come in certain flavors. Heeeeelp.
