    Scanner kinda owned this one. . . All my erasing marks are visible and the pencil shading is off >_>;

    I have a tendency to draw things way small. . . Or as big as I see them. I drew this from a screen shot of my character and it's about as big as that screen shot. I gotta get rid of the anime face >.<

    Forgive me for the small picture size >.>

    There's nothing wrong with "anime face". If that's your style, then go for it. In the beginning, it's more important to learn the mental preparation for drawing than the ins and outs of this style or that style. So for now, just go with a style that comes naturally to you, and concentrate on learning how to figure the image out in your head before putting it to paper. Once you've gotten to the point where your mental image transfers nicely to the paper, then you can concentrate on tackling alternative styles. If any of our other artists have a different opinion on this, I invite you to provide your input.

    All things considered, it looks like you're starting to grasp the basics. Your proportions are a little awkward and the shading is, for lack of a better term at 2:30 in the morning, primitive, but you're clearly understanding the general ideas there, and you seem to have a sense for lineweights; though I suppose you may be doing that more instinctively than deliberately.

    Has Capri been stuffing her face for 8 hours straight? I don't remember her looking like that (shape-wise)

    Otherwise, not bad. Better than anything I would've done ._.

    Yeah, my characters tend to come out a bit "larger" when I draw them >.>

    Meira: The lineweights are done on purpose. Nothing really drastic. . . I'm going to stick with line art for awhile and eventually get back to shading.

    Also, I drew this at 2am

    OK, I took the time, sat down, and tried again.

    It's starting to look more like the character it's based off of O.O;

    I'd say you put the eyes too high (or make the lower face too long). It also seems the ear is too close to the eyes.
    Notice about anatomy in general, the crotch is in the vertical center of the figure (extending the legs is often perceived as ok though). Elbows "line up" with the waist (use a circle around the sholder joint to rotate the arm).
    Crude pic of my dummy, maybe it helps

    Also a tip, look at a picture of a swimsuit model and observe how knees look in different poses.

    Its kind of close, with centering and the such. (Crotch does allign to the center of the chest, but loses it at the face). However go ahead and find yourself a swimsuit model (or just an ordinary joe, Google Image Search + Adult Filter ON will get you what you want - the porn).

    The only big problem you have are the knees/legs. She's wearing pants, yes? Pants are usually never this skin tight (unless actually are tights.) So go ahead and make them alittle more open. This can fix the mistakes of very very very tiny leg connections. Its alittle tricky but, Knee bones aren't like Knee Cap Guards for skating. They're still a part of the leg. So go ahead and let the under leg go through. (actually, I prefer the bigger legged version. Its not accurate to your character, but its more along the lines of truthful.)

    Or maybe, it just is too long in general. That might be it. You've done an excellent job with the hand. Its pretty much fleshed out and is ready for the final details. Continue busting these minor proportion issue and go ahead and finish her off.

    "It looks cool this way, let's stop."
