Gaozorans drop a Gaozoran Rod biomaterial item on levels. It is then believed that this will be used to synth the Gaozoran Rod weapon which you'll first need the board for. So at this time, it doesn't seem like it's available yet.

Gaozoran Rod is nothing but a big mess made of some sort of plastic branch or something. IMO its the most hideous among the other rods, no creativity was put in making this weapon.
