Does anyone know how to get merge items and how to merge them?

You find amplifiers and the corrosponding barriers just through playing the game. I've found afew Red Barriers and Amplifier of Anti, Red and Gifoie. I'm a Skyly.

I'm not sure if a particular ID has a better chance or what.

You equip whatever barrier, and then you USE the corrosponding amplifier, then it creates a MERGE type which will increase the power or range of certain techs.
