DB's Armor Shield Sword questions

I was playing VHard Ruins and found DB's Armor and Shield in Adjacent rooms, so I looked it up on here and saw that if you equip all thre you get a %50 bonus. A couple of questions.

1) What does the %50 bonus mean exactly, is that the weapon only or does it give a boost to evasion and defence too.

2) Which DB's sword does it have to be, can I use one of my dozens of sabers? Will the numerous other DB's swords work?

3) How sought after is the sword, could I easily trade for one?
