Is the GH-450 a good PM for a mele type character?

I was checking around online to see what a good PM would be for a melee character. If I am going to invest all this time and meseta on my PM, I want to make sure I am making a good choice.

If a GH-450 is a good choice, then would I be better off having either 70/30, 50/50, or 0/100 in striking and technic. Or would it be better to focus on other stats? Aarrgghh, so many decisions...

450 series specialized in Techs, support & offesive. I have yet to try 451, but 450 & 452 are helpful to a non-tech user. But of course, they have their limits.
