I am having trouble with a homework assignment for film class...mainly due to the fact that I have not seen the movie "Chinatown"

The assignment asks you to write a one paragraph essay with the following question:
"How is Chinatown a great example of the noir film style of film-making?"

Could anyone who has seen the movie give me some input? It would be difficult without the extra help. Thanks.

I once got marked down on a paper because I said that I hated the movie and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. ;]

I read that and though to myself how that Kurt Russel movie is NOT film-noir. Then I realized I was thinking of Big Trouble in Little China.

Film-noir is pretty easy to figure out. Just find some pictures or description and you will have enough info.

those might help you...i haven't seen it though
The first link is pay to view unfortunately

The second link does make one major point that I can add. That point, as well as the points that I got from the official forums should be sufficient to write the essay.
