(PSUJP) 20th anniversary of the Phantasy Star series event

Phantasy Star 20th Anniversary site

The Japanese PC/PS2 servers have kicked off their 20th anniversary illustration contest. Just like with the Thanks Festa this summer, illustrations inspired by the entire Pahantasy Star series are being accepted, and winners will be chosen to receive special prizes (both in-game and real, tangible goods) as well as have their works of art shown in the game lobbies (in both PSU and PSOBB).

Artwork submissions are being accepted from now until December 06. Winners will be announced mid-December. Winning artwork will go on display after the announcement, but a specific date has not been set at this moment.

There will be one first prize winner, three second prize winners and three third prize winners. Winners who have a PSU account will receive a Gold Trophy (1st place), Silver Trophy (2nd place) or Kolbe Trophy (3rd place) depending on how they placed. PSOBB account holders will be awarded certain items from this list. First prize will get three items, second prize gets two items and third prize gets one item.

EDIT: also for the US they may jsut combine the Phantasy star anniversary with the PSU anniversary instead of thanks festa.

But that just my guess who knows ^.^

Awesome event Sega & Sonic Team! I just hope that the USA and european players don't get "shafted" with an event that is only somewhat cool. I'd love to participate in such event (even if I am an amatuer at drawing )

So many people said that about Firebreak and the Platnium Cup. Oh, and look at what we got.

I won't be surprised if we end up not getting the illustration contest, however considering that the Thanks Festa had and (a little down the road) the 20th Anniversary celebration will have* unique missions, I feel pretty certain that we'll see them at some point. I mean, there hasn't been a single mission yet that the Japanese servers got that we didn't, so...

Yea actually if we dont get those "unique missions" a few people may quit

Also the GM's confirmed 1up and festa a little while back, u all denied it then 1up came around and suprised u all -_-

I had an awesome idea, but I have absolutely no art skills, sadly. Oh well.

Edit: I wouldn't quit over not getting the PSO missions, but I swear to god, if I don't get the ability to regain my old Foney costume, there WILL be hell to pay. XD
