im havin sum trouble with some text and effects in the game. You know where u log in and when your character list comes up, there is a spining shiny animation in the bottom right corner..well mine seems to be black. Also in the mission select screen where ur suppsosed to get the white, somewhat translucent, line that goes down the screen..mine is solid black.
That looks strange, maybe it has something to do with your graphics card.
Hmm... looks like transparency isn't showing up right. I recall having the bit with the login screen happen to me, I either tinkered with settings, reset my computer, or it went away on its own... dont recall which.
