The new powered Exoskeleton from Sarcos is powerful enough to lift missiles onto an aircraft, fast enough to rhythmically pound a punching back, maneuverable enough to dance in, and gentle enough to play ball with the kids. It is planned to support an array of armor options, and will eventually become autonomous - allowing a soldier to exit the exoskeleton and preform tasks on foot while the exoskeleton continues to provide support.
Outside of the military, this device holds great potential for industrial and construction use, not to mention provide mobility solutions for old people or those with physical disabilities. The idea of an army of pissed off AARP members descending on our cities to extract their retirement pensions in blood is truly a frightening prospect.
